Afternoon singles an area that I’d been thinking about for ages. Is it the right order can I change it up or do I just leave it as it is. I semi left it and shuffled a few around. Sallis Hoggy and Porter went out first threes with hoggy and mark winning there matches and getting us off to a flyer. Jack had a tough game eventually losing down the last. Matty, Adam, Kai and ash came next who all ended up losing in close matches. Cole went out 8 and was struggling early doors being 2 down going into the back nine but he battled back and couldn’t quite get us the win we needed but a solid half. The ever dependable Jacob out 9 won his match as usual with a comfortable 3&2. Then came my match, knew it would be coming down to it from early doors just with how the matches were going. Again not a great start being 2 down after 11 but managed to be all square going down the last needing a win to half the match overall. I couldn’t quite manage to pull it off and left the last green massively disappointed in myself only halving my match.
Overall we lost 8-7. Few things learnt from my side of things as a captain. And the fact it’s hard work trying to find out scores from other matches whilst trying to play your own match. We move forward knowing we need to win the remaining games this season and I’m sure the lads will be up for the challenge no doubt.
